How do you get people excited about George Washington? You remind them that he was THEO.G. American president who paved the way for every American president to follow—good or bad (or reeeeeeeallly reeeeeeeallly bad).

Evoked my inner Brit and got a bit cheeky with these headlines promoting nonstop flights to Great Britain. (Please note that I didn’t say “cheerio” or “jolly good” anywhere in these ads.)
For this campaign, we decided to poke a little fun at ourselves. With all the organic, gluten-free, vegetarian, all-meat, vegan cat foods out there, we might not be the fanciest anymore, but we still drive all the classy cats wild.

Nuttin' fancy, but I did re-write the entire MyGerber website for their site re-design. I had to evoke my inner "big-sis" voice for this one.
For these ads, we wanted to display the ruggedness of OtterBox phone cases when pitted against everyday situations. The strategy was to pair grittier lines with softer imagery to show that when it comes to our phones, even the most benign situations could prove disastrous—unless you have an Otter Box.

In all seriousness, no one wants to be immortalized with a sneeze face. It’s a real issue. #stopsneezeface

These lines were written for the ones who occasionally let their inner devil make the decisions.

Wall graphics leading to bar
With this client, I started with a brand manifesto to really set the tone and voice of the brand. I wanted to tap into the male reader's core sense of masculinity to show them that this product embodies everything the modern man is and also stands for. I then branched out to writing headlines in that same voice and placed them in strategic areas where the target audience would most likely read them and show interest in the product.

THE BIG AD GIG 2015
Winning submission for the 2015 Big Ad Gig. The Big Ad Gig is a yearly contest that gives up-and-coming creatives a chance to get their foot in the door at some of the top advertising agencies in New York City.
This years brief was to create an ad campaign deterring young teens from making the choice to drink and drive. Eight contestants had only a few days to throw together a cohesive and comprehensive ad campaign that would be presented to a panel of judges that included some of the top names in the advertising industry.
My campaign was one of the winners which landed me a paid internship at Ogilvy & Mather NYC.
ART AND IDEA
Before I discovered my love for creating copy, I was working as a graphic designer and training to become an art director. During this time, I came to know some of the obstacles and challenges that ADs and graphic designers come across when creating the awesome stuff that they do. It also gave me a solid foundation in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator so that in a pinch, I can get my art directors back when they need it!
